FLORIADE ALMERE EXPO 2022

The seventh International Horticultural Expo Floriade Expo 2022 will take place in Almere. With the theme ‘Growing Green Cities’, the Expo will focus on the Green City of the Future for six months. The Floriade site will be a living laboratory with inspirational exhibitions by countries, cities, and innovative businesses. But also with impressive attractions, lots of art and culture, and with a unique collection of trees, shrubs, and flowers.


INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF HORTICULTURAL PRODUCERS

The International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) is an international organization dedicated to promoting horticultural producers and held the international garden / flora festivals or expositions. Since 1948, AIPH has united horticultural producers in an international community that thrives to this day. AIPH strives to reignite and uphold an appreciation of plants that we believe is a basic human instinct. We support the work of grower associations globally and together we champion a prosperous industry, growing plants that enhance lives, advance societies and sustain our planet, for this generation and the next. 


EXPO 2016 ANTALYA

Between 23 April and 30 October 2016, Turkey organised a Horticultural Expo in the city of Antalya under the theme “Flowers and Children”. Recognised by the 150th General Assembly of the BIE on 24 November 2011, the Expo was the first BIE-sanctioned International Exhibition to take place in Turkey. The Expo aimed to address global environmental issues, to share experiences in horticulture and agriculture, and to increase quality of life through the creation of green spaces and new job opportunities. With its “Flowers and Children” theme, and motto “A Green Life for Future Generations”, the Expo encompassed four subthemes: History, Biodiversity, Sustainability, and Green Cities.


KOKKERELLI - KIDS UNIVERSITY FOR COOKING

Kids University for Cooking is a Public Private Partnership and contributing to a healthy lifestyle. Inspired by the children themselves and in collaboration with science, education and the food industry, we are creating exciting and instructive programs that make 6-16-year-old children aware of their dietary habits in an exciting and fun way. We have done this with over 15.000 children in the last 1.5 year. Simultaneously we facilitate and stimulate innovation in food and work jointly with Universities of Wageningen and Maastricht. Two of our projects are nominated for the InnovAward 2013.


FLORIADE VENLO EXPO 2012

The Floriade is a large world horticulture exposition that is held every ten years in the Netherlands. From April to October 2012, the sixth edition of the Floriade was organized by the Region Venlo Floriade 2012. There were approximately 100 domestic and 40 foreign participants expecting over two million visitors. The entire area comprises 66 hectares (163 acres) and now that the Floriade closed its gates, it will continue life as a green business and educational park, “Venlo Greenpark”.


LANDESGARTENSCHAU SCHLESWIG 2008

The national horticultural show of Schleswig-Holstein took place from 25 April to 05 October 2008 in the Schleistadt Schleswig city. The national horticultural show was delivered on the area of the Schleswiger Königswiesen. The costs were 15.8 million euro. With just over 700,000 visitors, the first state garden show of Schleswig-Holstein was a complete success. On a surface of approx. 16 hectares 27 theme gardens were shown. The open-air stage offered space for 1600 people (600 siting/1000 standing).
